Time flies by as Maddox is growing. He is about 10 lbs now. What blessing from God. Kate and I love him to death.
Things started a little hard with long nights and bad acid reflux that caused severe choking. Kate was afraid to fall asleep b/c he would choke. He slept in her arms for quite a while. Our doctor was a God send, he has been wonderful. We are on both acid reflux medications and Simply Thick. It has done wonders. Kate and I couldn't ask for anything else.
We have loved our firsts. Maddox went to his first ballgame, we took him on his first walk, and his first bath. We have made a bunch of fun memories already. Maddox is so in tune to everything, he stares at the world. He also loves to stand up. He stands on our laps and checks everything out.
You will never have as much joy as seeing your little one smile for the first time. It is one of my favorite parts of the day. Maddox is very happy when he wakes up and will smile to a happy voice. Seeing that reaction brings joy to both Kate and me.
I am posting a couple pics and hopefully I will do better in the future. Here is Maddox.
Sorry for the delay. See if I can get you a little caught up. We will start with his room. We finished Maddox's room in a jungle setting. The crib and changing table were beautiful. We added a antique school chair, it just seemed fitting. The 9 small paintings were done over the summer by Kate, Patti, Katie and I. We decided it would add a little creative flair. Here are some pics.
Pictures will be added shortly due to technical difficulty
Sorry for the delay in writing. Maddox is @ 34 weeks now. Kate is doing great. We just got back from another doctors visit and Sonogram. Maddox is a healthy moving boy. He still has a big head. We are hoping his body catches up over the next few weeks. Here are the pictures and video from today's experience.
We experienced our second sonigram today. Maddox is a healthy and well fed baby boy. He stays very active kicking kate all throughout the day and night. He currently weighs 3 lbs and has shrek size noggin. We are hoping he grows into that head. Both Kate and Maddox are doing great. We pray everyday that God helps Maddox grow to be a healthy baby boy. I hope you enjoy the short video.
Hopefully this will be the first of many wonderful posts as Kate & I share a wonderful and adventurous life together. From traveling to become parents we stay busy, committed, and love each step of the way.
I currently reside in Garland, Texas and have been married for 4 years to my lovely wife Kate. In the weeks to come we are looking forward to becoming parents. We are expecting a boy, Maddox, to join us this summer. We also have two dogs and a squirrel. We love to spend our time outdoors and with our family.
